Base Cal
Base Calibrations or better known as "base maps" are estimated tuning files used for initial start ups of your vehicle to diagnose leaks, noises, or other running conditions allowing you to correct issues before performing closed course driving or tuning appointments to be made.
Our tuning files are estimations ONLY and made with information you provide such as engine type, modifications, fuel injector size, fuel type and more. This information will be gathered from you via email after purchase.
If you have access to a chip burner and just need a base cal file emailed to you please make this purchase as normal. If you need us to write the calibration to a chip we provide for you please add an SST Chip linked below to your order in combination with this product.
Please note, these calibrations are for start up only and there is no guarantee on the running condition of the vehicle due to several factors, we do not provide in depth remote diag. All vehicles should be professionally tuned in person once inspected and confirmed they are safe to do so. This calibration is simply to start the vehicle and perform diagnostics to get the vehicle ready for in person tuning services. Burton Racing does not guarantee the reliability or quality of base calibrations you are provided nor do we state these calibrations to be road worthy or meet any emissions standards, rules, or laws. All calibrations are to be used in off road isolated test conditions only and NEVER to be used for public on road use.
For vehicles that are heavily modified you should work with your in person calibrator directly for bespoke service and customization. Our calibrations are ideally for stock style cars and developed with lightly modified examples.
We use Neptune Software for our calibrations and the picture is only for example.
