Refund policy

Returns/Exchanges:

Items directly purchased through Burton Racing are able to be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase. Returns must abide by the following criteria:

  •  Must be a Burton Racing product manufactured by Burton Racing.
  •  Must not be a custom order or have requested alterations.
  •  Item(s) must not have been used or installed on any vehicle.
  •  Item(s) must not have been modified or damaged.
  •  Item(s) must be free from dirt, scratches, or bolt marks.
  •  Must be returned with all original packaging, documentation, and  accessories.
  •  Retail packaging cannot be used for shipping and must not have dirt, tears, or crush marks. Seals must be intact.  
  •  Must not be a product that has been drop-shipped or supplied by other   manufacturers. You have the right to check if the item qualifies before ordering.

All order cancellations/returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee and a 5% processing fee as mentioned below. Restock fee is calculated based on item value, processing fee is calculated on order value including shipping.

If you'd like to cancel an order that has already been shipped, it must be processed as a return once you receive the item. All returns require the completion of Burton Racing's RMA Form and to be returned within 14 days of RMA issuance, if you cannot meet this deadline you are required to notify us within the 14 days, if not your return will be closed.

To request an RMA Form, please email: sales@burton-racing.com. For your return to be processed, you must include a hard copy of the completed form with the product you are returning, or, a digital copy of the completed form emailed to sales@burton-racing.com. 

Original shipping charge(s), including "free shipping", will not be refunded under any circumstance. Items must be returned to our facility for inspection before any refund can be issued.

Any return made having the shipping label or packing tape applied directly to retail packaging will be denied and you are responsible for return shipping back to you.

Burton Racing does not supply or cover shipping labels for returns or exchanges.

To receive an exchange, the original item(s) must be returned to our facility for inspection before a new item can be shipped out. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs associated with exchanging the item, this includes "to" and "from" postage.

Customers are responsible for shipping costs if an item is returned to sender for any reason. Proof of address may be requested to reship the item. Failure to repay shipping or duties will result in a restock procedure.

Orders drop-shipped directly from the manufacturer or supplier cannot be cancelled once it has been placed and confirmed with the manufacturer. Returns or exchanges of items drop-shipped from the manufacturer must be processed through them directly. Please contact us at sales@burton-racing.com for the correct point-of-contact's information at the manufacturer who can help you process a return or exchange.

Special orders, pre-orders, used items, and items purchased in our "Garage Sale" section are not refundable or exchangeable.

Insane Shaft Returns:
All returns must have an return authorization number issued by Insane Shafts, LLC. Any return without an RMA number will be refused.

Axles cannot be returned unless it is within the warranty period, or an incorrect part was sent. In the case of an incorrect part it is the installers sole responsibility to determine if the part is correct or not, if an incorrect part is installed and either damages the axles or any other parts, it is the sole responsibility of the installer and absolutely no repair under warranty will be given nor reimbursement for loss of time or monetary cost.

Absolutely no axle will be returned unless it is a new unit that has not been installed and is returned in original box with copy of original sales receipt and return authorization number. Returns are for credit or exchanges only, NO EXCEPTIONS. Authorized returns are subject to a 30% restocking fee. Credits are for parts only and we do not refund shipping and handling charges on any returns.

Payment Policy:

Burton Racing pays a 5% processing fee on all purchases/transactions. Customers will not be refunded this 5% processing fee under any circumstance. This processing fee is paid to a third-party and is not able to be refunded to a customer. This includes orders that have been paid, but not yet shipped.

Reimbursements or refunds will only be distributed via store credit in the form of a digital gift card sent via email after the item has been returned and inspected.

Fraud Policy:

In the event that an order is flagged as high risk for possible fraud or identity theft, Burton Racing has the right to require additional information from the customer to confirm the purchaser's identity. This may include but is not limited to: a photo copy of the purchaser's identification, a photo copy of the credit/debit card used for the order, bank verification, address verification, telephone number verification, etc. If the customer is unable to provide any of the requested documentation, the order will not be fulfilled. All subsequent/future orders made by the same customer who was previously unable to provide the above mentioned documentation will be black listed and not processed. We reserve the right to cancel any and all orders for any reason.

Lost/Missing/Defective Item(s) Policy:

We always strive for efficiency with every order, however, If you receive your order and believe you are missing items/components or you believe your items are defective or malfunctioning you must contact us within 30 days of delivery to make a claim. No exceptions will be made and missing items/components can not be replaced free of charge after 30 days. It is 100% the customers' responsibility to verify the contents of the package and the functionality of the contents within 30 days of delivery.

Warranty Policy:

All Burton Racing products and/or services are protected by a limited warranty. The span of the warranties are as follows after date of purchase:

  • Wiring: 1 Year
  • ECUs/Services: 90 Days
  • All Other Electronics: 1 Year
  • Third-Party and/or Non-Burton Racing branded products: Subject to manufacturers warranty and that individual manufacturer must be contacted directly. Please see below.

Products are not eligible for warranty if they have been incorrectly installed by the customer or any third-party that is not Burton Racing. Burton Racing is not liable for any damage that is done by others to their own ECU, car, or other components in the process of installation. This includes but is not limited to: incorrectly soldering components into the ECU, incorrectly installing a wiring harness, or incorrect software parameters or adjustments made.

Warranties for products pertaining to ECU parts or requiring installation into an ECU are only eligible to be warrantied if Burton Racing receives the entire ecu for inspection. Burton Racing will deny any warranty claim where the customer or 3rd party installs a product and the ecu is not sent in for inspection. Burton Racing reserves the right to inspect any and all ECU's to validate a warranty claim, without this action we can not approve a product for warranty.

You must submit a warranty claim within the allotted time frame. All warranty claims require the completion of Burton Racing's RMA Form. To request an RMA Form, please email: sales@burton-racing.com. For your warranty to be processed, you must include a hard copy of the completed form with the product you are shipping, or, a digital copy of the completed form emailed to sales@burton-racing.com. All qualified items submitted for warranty will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of Burton Racing. Customer is responsible for shipping charges to/from our facility for warranty claims. Warranties are only valid for original purchasers and can not be transferred and/or deferred to any other party.

Burton Racing does NOT offer any warranty or guarantee directly to customers for products not manufactured or marketed as a Burton Racing branded product. Any product from another brand or company purchased through Burton Racing is only entitled to the manufacturers warranty. Customers will be required to contact the manufacturer directly to address the warranty claim, request an RMA, address quality concerns, fitment or compatibility issues, and performance failures.
