B Series Cam Trigger Kit

The use of this kit allows you to change from the factory Honda mag sensors in the distributor to a more precise digital signal using a Hall Effect sensor. A Hall sensor is the required input for almost all modern ECU's including AEM, Motec, Haltech and others. Many aftermarket ecus read the Hall signal much better than they do the oem signal from the distributor. A lot of times you'll notice a smoother idle & much smoother power at high rpm.

The cam trigger bracket and modified cam gears also allows complete removal of the factory distributor when a multi channel CDI box & individual coils are used. If you want to keep a single channel ignition box & the distributor, then this setup can still be used.
These signals are on the input side of the ecu, while the ignition system is on the output. Any combination of ignition box/coils will work.

This kit allows 2 options, please read below to select the proper kit for your needs.

Please note these systems are ONLY compatible with B Series VTEC engines.

1. Contains (1) single cam gear (adjustable) for exhaust cam used for the new timing signals that's machined & custom fit with rare earth magnets installed to trigger the sensor. Also included is a billet sensor bracket which mounts in the upper power steering location, and the Dual Pole hall sensor is included! (this single sensor will serve as a cam and a crank sensor!).

2. Contains a matching set of (2) two cam gears (adjustable), both for the exhaust and intake camshafts. The exhaust gear is machined & custom fit with rare earth magnets installed to trigger the sensor, while the intake cam gear is a standard adjustable cam gear and will not have any additional modification. Also included is a billet sensor bracket which mounts in the upper power steering location, and the Dual Pole hall sensor is included! (this single sensor will serve as a cam and a crank sensor!).
