SFI-1 Single Layer Fire Suit (Youth)

The RaceQuip Youth single-layer SFI-1 racing suit is constructed from Pyrovatex® FRC material. Note that these suits are sometimes referred to as "fireproof" racecar driver's suits, but in reality, all auto racing safety gear is "fire-retardant." Pyrovatex® offers the ideal combination of overall flame and heat protection, durability, and comfort at an affordable price. This fire-retardant cotton-based (FRC) material is utilized because it retains the softness and breathability of cotton and effectively wicks away moisture from the skin. Pyrovatex® fabric is gentle and non-irritating, even for the most sensitive skin. The treatment process gives the exterior surface a shiny and supple appearance. As the Pyrovatex® process forms a chemical bond at the molecular level with the raw cotton fibers, the suit will maintain its flame-retardant properties with proper care, surpassing the useful life of the garment. All racing suits are assembled using heavy-duty, multi-needle, over-lock safety stitching machines to ensure exceptional seam strength. RaceQuip suits feature a high-quality heavy-duty Nomex®-backed brass zipper installed with a double overlap for a more secure front opening. Stylish contrasting armband stripes complement the full-length leg stripes.
