On ECU's already equipped with a knock board it will require removal, please note stock knock sensors are highly unlikely to be utilized under any type of after market tuning situations and deemed unnecessary. They are easily removed and\/or disabled inside the tuning parameters.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike all Coil on Plug systems you are REQUIRED to run resistor type spark plugs. If you are unsure of your plug choice please contact your parts supplier or cross reference the part numbers online. Our kit requires a synchronization procedure before the vehicle will fire, this means the engine will turn over at minimum one to two complete revolutions to confirm engine position for optimal performance and reliability before firing spark into the cylinder. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis kit bypasses the coil and ICM ignitor, allowing you to remove the cap and rotor to install a low profile billet cap. By bypassing these components, you can extend the life of a failed OEM distributor, or start using an aftermarket unit, since the commonly failed components are now removed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe recommend checking ignition timing with a timing light after install, especially when using an aftermarket distributor.
